R&B/Hip-hop artist Black Dada is featured in today’s PEOPLE section of the Miami Herald (see below). The Strictly Business/Universal Republic artist has been breaking from the studio to make himself familiar to media as he puts finishing touches on his debut album, due out later this year.
Black Dada has received tremendous buzz nationally with his breakout hit “Imma Zoe,” which most recently landed the singer on Billboard’s Top 100 R&B/Hip-Hop chart. The remix saw a sizzling collaboration with Rick Ross and Birdman and has propelled the track out of Florida, even garnering airplay on New York’s HOT97. The videos for both singles were shot in early August by director Gil Green and will soon hit airwaves.
Black Dada has performed the hit tune on BET’s 106 & Park twice this year, and hopes to return to premier the videos to his fans. “It was crazy shooting my first major video,” he reveals. “Working alongside Gil Green, Rick Ross and Birdman was a great experience and I can’t wait for everyone to see them.” He is also featured in upcoming issues of Ozone Magazine, Hip Hop Weekly, Scoop, Lumiere and Jamrock magazines, just to name a few.
Celebrating his success by giving back, Black Dada and the Strictly Business (SBR) family recently donated $5,000 to the Radio Lollipop International Children’s Charity, partnering up with DJ Laz and Miami’s POWER96 for the Lollipop Radiothon at the Miami’s Children’s Hospital on August 11-12. “I feel fortunate that I’m in the position to help acquire the breakthrough technology that will help kids while they are in the hospital, and hopefully make their stay there a better one.”
