South Florida’s base reggae singer/songwriter and performing artist Screwdriver has been on a resurgence since 2009, first with his pre-inaguration song “Jah Send Him Come”, a tribute to Barack Obama, to the self produce Hip Hop style of “Don’t Turn Around”. He also did a combination with Innercircle on their new album – State Of The World – and his single taken from it “Never Give Up”. Now Screwdriver has extended his versatility by writing and recording a world beat song “Wine Wine”. It includes Latin and Soca flavors on a definitive dance beat produced by Sean Folkes for Jalpo Record Label. For a limited time, they have made it available as a free download on Limewire,Ares, Bearshare and www.myspace.com/jahscrewdriver.
Screwdriver’s new CD ‘Child of the Universe’ will be available on October 16, 2009. This is also the title of one of the songs on the CD. This CD is a must have as Screwdriver make a powerful comeback with a new attitude, renewed enthusiasm and drive, packing lots of energy and ready to explode on stage.
