A Daughter’s Heart Speak

I look around and I saw
The chair and I remember
Your laughter and the meal
Place before you; I heard
You say these precious words,
“I love you and the kiss
That I use to brush away!”
I look around and I saw
The sofa you and I shared
Memories of watching our
Sermon together and I placing
My leg on your lap
I look around and everything
That I saw although they were
Beautiful gifts felt meaningless
For the most precious gift—you
mama weren’t there anymore.
I look around and say I love you’
Mama so much.
