The Consulate General of Jamaica, New York (CGNY), and the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE) are delighted to convene their first-ever “Investing in Jamaica Virtual Forum”, which will be held on March 3rd and 4th 2021, starting at 5:00 p.m. EST.
This Forum was conceptualised on the basis of the need for increased dialogue on investment opportunities in Jamaica and the United States of America (USA), following the successful Investment Townhall Meeting that was held by both entities, here in New York, in November 2019.
In order to achieve that objective, the Consul General of Jamaica to New York, Mrs. Alsion Wilson, OD, and the Managing Director of the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE), Mrs. Marlene Street Forrest, CD, JP, assembled a distinguished list of presenters from Jamaica’s and the USA’s top financial institutions. The Forum will, therefore, focus on realising the following goals:
• Sensitising investors from within the Diaspora and other persons living in the USA of the investment climate in Jamaica and the USA;
• Exploring and promoting opportunities on the equity and bond market for potential investors from within the Diaspora and other persons living in the USA; and
• Laying the foundation for increased flow of investments in Jamaica, with an emphasis on growing the number of Diaspora investors in Jamaica.
