Staff WriterJamaica captured the spotlight at the 2019 TravelAge West Western Agents’ Votes of Excellence (WAVE) Awards Gala. The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) received two awards: Destination with The Highest Client Satisfaction, Caribbean, and International Tourism Board Providing the Best Travel Advisor Support.
The 14th annual Western Agents’ Votes of Excellence (WAVE) Awards was held Thursday, June 13th at The Ritz-Carlton in Marina del Rey, California in the presence of travel advisors and industry leaders who were celebrated and recognized for their achievements in the ever-changing travel industry.
“It is truly an honor to be the first recipient of the Destination with the Highest Client Satisfaction in the Caribbean Award as well as many-time winner of the International Tourism Board Providing the Best Travel Advisor Support at this year’s TravelAge West WAVE Awards,” notes Jamaica’s Director of Tourism, Donovan White. “TravelAge West has been a go-to source of reliable news in the travel industry and consistently winning multiple awards over the years has been a testament to the destination’s achievements and growth in the industry.”
Each year, the awards ceremony allows Western-based travel advisors to recognize the travel suppliers, destinations and partners that help them provide stellar client experiences. The TravelAge West publication also celebrated its 50th Anniversary with the theme “Beyond Words for 50 Years,” highlighting landmark moments in the travel industry and the evolution of the magazine. A Western Agents’ Votes of Excellence Award is an honor and affirmation that destinations and travel advisors are making tremendous strides to provide world-class travel experiences.
