Local communications company Digicel Jamaica recently handed over a cheque valued at $2.5 million to the Jamaica Special Olympic team to assist the journey to Athens, Greece, for the 2011 summer Special Olympic World Games.
Speaking at a special breakfast held for the team, Digicel’s sponsorship manager, Paula Pinnock-MacLeod, reinforced the company’s commitment to the Special Olympic team. “Digicel has been proud sponsors of the Special Olympic team for 10 years – as long as the company has been in operation.
