Digicel And Rim Work Together To Make Low Cost, Easy-To-Access Blackberry Services Available To Businesses Of All Sizes

Businesses of all sizes across the Caribbean, Central America and the Pacific will be able to enjoy the benefits of Blackberry services quickly, easily and at a low cost point thanks to the introduction of BlackBerry® Enterprise Server Express.

Launching on 1st March, BlackBerry® Enterprise Server Express is a new product from RIM that offers a low cost opportunity for businesses of any size – with an existing Microsoft Exchange or Microsoft Small Business Server – to get started with the BlackBerry® solution quickly and easily.

Quite simply, BlackBerry users have a wealth of information and information management tools at their fingertips and can take advantage of multiple features like push technology which delivers messages and information to BlackBerry smartphones in seconds; wireless synchronization giving mobile access to business email, calendar, contacts, task lists and memos, document and file access, instant messaging and social networking and enhanced security features – all without having to connect to their computer.

Importantly, BlackBerry® Enterprise Server Express provides advanced smartphone business features with no software licensing fees or additional per user licence fees – and works with any internet-enabled BlackBerry data plan or a BlackBerry enterprise data plan.

It can also be a lower-cost alternative for businesses wanting to manage BlackBerry smart phones that employees purchase and pay for, but use for work purposes. It is currently only available in English, with foreign language versions coming online over time.
