Jamaica can finally stop speculating.  The 8th season of Digicel Rising Stars is finally here!  And the anticipation will be worth it, as the 2011 edition of the top talent show will see many exciting and surprising changes.

Producer, Sharon Schroeter explains: “Tonight we will introduce Jamaica to an All New Digicel Rising Stars with exciting changes.  Just as with everything, we must constantly evolve and Digicel Rising Stars is, as usual, setting trends. 

“We are privileged to have had seven successful years, which many may have thought could not be done.  We have worked with the best in the business to be able to bring Jamaica its first live singing competition where the public decides the winner.  We have showcased true raw talent across the island and assisted aspiring artistes to recognise their dreams and full potential for stardom.  And we are committed to continue this.”

Over the last seven years the successful talent show has seen many stars emerge from its stage such as Christopher Martin, Laden, Noddy Virtue, Romain Virgo and Brown Shuga to name a few.  And this year the search continues to discover a whole new crop of talent.
