jamarchReggae/Dancehall Group Don Dem has joined the likes of Busy Signal and Konshens who both have remixed Rapper “Future” single “Turn On The Lights”.
Future’s hit single has received close to 23 millions view on youtube and is steadily climbing international charts. Konshens and Busy Signal remix have also been garnering favorable rotation locally and internationally by adding a dancehall vibe to the hit single.
But Don Dem say that they have set themselves apart and expected to create quite a stir as they make mention of the undisputed dancehall Queen Lady Saw “Heels On” and give credits to Incarcerated World Boss Vybz Kartel. Their remix bring a sensuality that is filled with sexual innuendos expressed in their native “patois”.
Jamaican artists are no strangers to gain spotlight with remixes of songs done by international artists, and for all critics that express that it’s an easy way to get recognition, Don Dem simply says “Imitation is the sincerest of flattery”
