Dear CAC Members and Friends,
The 7.8 –magnitude earthquake, which severely affected the northern areas of Sichuan province on May 12, 2008 but, according to official sources, was also felt in Hong Kong, Taiwan and even as far as Thailand, is now estimated to claim over 50,000 lives.
We would like to get involved in the relief efforts and here is how you can help:

Root and Shoots has reported that Sichuan province is in need of the following items:
- Food: water, bread, biscuits, crackers, milk etc.
- Tents, flashlights, rain gear, blankets etc.
- Drugs: anti-biotics, medicines for cold, diarrhea, malaria, first-aid kits
- Children’s books, toys etc.

On this day, we will be accepting Roots and Shoots donations. If you would like to bring items to donate, please bring them to our Sunday, May 25th meeting. We will then send your items to the Roots & Shoots Shanghai office for Chengdu shipment.
