Emerald Dunes Golf Club of Florida Wins Jamaica Invitational Pro-Am “Annie’s Revenge” in Montego Bay

Emerald Dunes Golf Club of West Palm Beach, Florida were crowned champions at the ninth annual Jamaica Invitational Pro-Am “Annie’s Revenge”, presented by Appleton Estate Jamaica Rum. The three round event which uses the two best ball net format, culminated on Saturday, November 1 and was played on two of Jamaica’s finest golf courses Cinnamon Hill and White Witch in Montego Bay.
Emerald Dunes Golf Club, leaders after round one, and led by golf professional Rob Corcoran with amateurs Piero Landini, Greg Hammond, Mike Hammond, Jr. and Mike Hammond, Sr. captured the championship with a 54-hole cumulative score of 426. Hidden Valley Golf Club of California with amateurs Dave Wood, Tim Ryan, Scott Luscavage, Fred Lesher and golf professional Terry Hatch were runners-up with 436.

Forest Heights Country Club #2 of Georgia, comprising amateurs Glenn Womack, Cliff Wildes, Kevin Rackleff, Bill Howard and golf professional Andrew Freeman took home top honors in Flight B of the Championship Round with a cumulative score of 443; while Bent Creek Country Club of Pennsylvania and the team of Jim Eberle, Loe Lutz, James Lewis, Brian Hurley and golf professional Jim Haus claimed the runner-up spot with a score of 446.
In the Challenge Round, where final round scores were based on a two-best ball 18-hole shootout for teams not making the 36-hole cut, Constant Spring Golf Club from Jamaica with golf pro Jason Lopez and amateurs Jason Garbutt, Ian Moore, John O’Donahue and Justin Murray had a scorecard playoff win in Flight C over Country Club of Miami with amateurs Eileen Carol, Jewel Rokx, Cees Rokx, Toney McNeil and golf professional Peter Horrobin. Both teams scored 193.
Rounding out the winners at the three round tournament were Amelia National Golf Club of Florida with 192 where amateurs Al Grant, Marcia Bates, Jack Bender, Keith Williams and golf professional Jack Aschenbach emerged winners in Flight D.  Wicked River Wine & Golf Club of Miami with amateurs Tom Oliver, Noel Sloley, Alan Waxler, Mike Putnam and golf professional Rick Burk were runners-up ten strokes behind the North Florida team.

A feature of this year’s tournament was the Appleton Estate Shootout at Annie’s Revenge, a 36-hole, par-3 tournament contested over four specific par-3 holes, two on each course, during the first two rounds. The team competition was based on the two best balls format while the individual competition utilized the low gross and net format.
The Jamaica Invitational Pro-Am, presented by Appleton Estate Jamaica Rum is organized by The Golf Connection LLC on behalf of the Jamaica Tourist Board, supported by Cobra Puma Golf (official apparel and golf club), Bridgestone Golf (official ball), Jamaica Tours Limited (official transportation provider), Chukka Caribbean Adventures (official adventure tour), and Iberostar Hotels & Resorts (official hotel).
