Come December 26, the theatre landscape will welcome a new actress when well – known TV Hostess, Media personality and Youth Advocate Emprezz Golding will make her theatre debut as a cast member of the hit comedy revue Laff It Off.

Emprezz who has made quite a name for herself as a vibrant TV hostess  and producer(RE TV, Magnum Kings & Queens of Dancehall, Talk Up Yout), MC and youth advocate  is enthusiastic about this new opportunity to spread her creative wings even further. “I am very excited to be a part of this hilarious show. The vibe and energy is crazy, the topics that we touch on in the skits are spot on and my cast members are awesomely talented.”  Emprezz commented.

Laff It Off, enjoyed five weeks of sold out performances when it first premiered in August. Based on this overwhelming support and demand there are high expectations for its’ return over the Christmas season for a limited four weeks run at the Theatre Place (8 Haining Rd).

Producer/Playwright Oliver Mair, is confident that patrons’ anticipation will be met and even exceeded as the show will feature a number of new scenes with some of the original ones expanded to reflect the full scope of what has been happening in Jamaica for the entire year. “The nature of a revue allows certain leeway to improvise and expand our material to comment on current issues. Since our original staging in August, our country has experienced quite a few significant happenings that we will be commenting on in a hilarious but tasteful manner.” Mair commented. “Patrons who have already seen Laff It Off , can come back and enjoy all the elements they loved and still be treated to new material and new patrons will get a chance to catch up and enjoy a full show that is guaranteed to have them laughing from curtains up to lights out.” Mair concluded.

In addition to Emprezz, the cast also includes new comers, Stephanie Hazle (who will alternate with Emprezz) and British/Jamaican actor Ricky Rowe alongside original cast members: Rodney Campbell, Akeem Mignott, Patria-Kaye Aarons, Christina Strarz, Russhaine “Dutty” Berry, Dalton Spence, Oliver Mair and director/actor Craig McNally.
