The ninth annual Jamaica Meetings Expo (JAMEX) will take place June 4-8 at the Iberostar Rose Hall Grand in Montego Bay. This is the Jamaica Tourist Board’s premiere event showcasing Jamaica’s superior amenities for the Meeting, Incentive, Corporate & Event (MICE) markets to UK/European and North American qualified buyers.
“JAMEX serves as the perfect opportunity to supply Jamaica’s hotels and attractions with unprecedented access to qualified international buyers. JAMEX is a mutually-beneficial opportunity as Jamaica continues to be a premiere Caribbean destination for the MICE market due to its accessibility, value and variety of product,” noted Marcia Bullock, Regional Director, Groups & Conventions, Jamaica Tourist Board. “With a new convention center in Montego Bay scheduled for completion by end of 2010, combined with our tax deductible status already in place, Jamaica continues to provide more facilities and incentives that appeal to MICE buyers.”
JAMEX 2009 will feature a trade show element, allowing local venues to put Jamaica’s diverse product offerings on display. The JAMEX program also includes site visits to hotels, hosted functions and excursions to iconic attractions, shopping destinations and more.
MICE buyers will find that in addition to the value and diversity of the island’s new and enhanced accommodations and attractions, Jamaica is also easily accessible with service from major airlines out of several gateways throughout North America and the UK.
