MIAMI, FL (February 4, 07) – With the primary objective of elevating and empowering South Florida’s Jamaica-focused non-profit sector, the Eye on Jamaica Project in collaboration with Miami-Dade College – North, Wilder Business Solutions, Dr. Williams & Eye Associates, World Link Shipping, Jamaican Diaspora Southern United States, C.A.R.E. and Jamaica House Restaurant will present a highly interactive three–part workshop covering Program Development, Grant Reading and Grant Writing on Saturday, February 17, 2007 from 9 AM to 4:30 PM.
The workshops are provided free of charge and participation is limited to two representatives per organization. They are carefully crafted to meet the needs and address the challenges faced by internationally-focused organizations, by teaching and subsequently applying the fundamental principles of developing effective programs, understanding the subtle nuances of Grantmaker requirements and the art of writing winning grant proposals.
As a special feature and evidence of our commitment to empower those who help Jamaica, Alumni Associations will have an opportunity to win one of two cash and shipping combination grants underwritten by our friends at World Link Shipping.
For more information or to RSVP, please email the names of the persons that will be in attendance along with the name of your organization and a contact telephone number to [email protected] or call 786-426-3071. Please register no later than Thursday, February 15, 2007.
