The Fabulous Five Band, affectionately known as Fab Five, will replace Byron Lee’s Dragonaires on the Main Stage at the 9th Annual Grace Jamaican Jerk Festival, scheduled for today, at Markham Park in Sunrise.

Byron Lee’s Dragonaires, who were originally billed for the event, will not be able to perform due to unforeseen circumstances. The management of the Jamaican Jerk Festival Inc. apologizes for this unfortunate situation, but has acted quickly and found a highly qualified and competent replacement in the renowned Caribbean band, Fab Five.

Also appearing on the Main Stage will be the legendary reggae crooner John Holt along with Jamaica’s R&B and Reggae singer, Ritchie Stevens and Reggae singer, Nadine Sutherland, local saxophonist, Bunny Bonito; Caribbean Music Farm, and Code Red Band.

The Grace Jamaican Jerk Festival kicks off today at 10:00 am with numerous sporting and cultural activities, cooking competitions and culinary demonstrations. The festival climaxes with main stage performances which ends at 10:00 pm. Tickets are $20.00 at the gate, children 10 years and under admitted free.
