Dancehall-Soul star Cherine Anderson is set to blaze the stage at the 23rd Annual UCLA Jazz & Reggae Festival this Memorial Day, Monday, May 25th at the UCLA Intramural Field in Los Angeles, California. Cherine is riding several international reggae music charts with her prolific single “Shine on Jamaica” and has received a lot of love in the streets since the release of her hot new video “Talk if Yuh Talking”. She remains at #1 for a third week on the South Florida Reggae Charts after topping the WAVS 1170 top 11 charts for four consecutive weeks. Anderson will be in great company this holiday weekend, sharing the stage with neo-soul star Erykah Badu, De La Soul, as well as fellow Jamaican artists Mavado and Morgan Heritage and other amazing artists.
According to Anderson, “This year has truly been a blessing for me. I have been putting in a lot of work between touring and recording, and fans seem to be responding positively to the new material.” When asked what fans can expect from her at this year’s Jazz & Reggae Fest, Anderson responds with a huge smile, “It’s going to be a whole lot of niceness. I want to encourage fans to come out early and get ready to dance, feel good and be inspired.”
Anderson will stay on to do a charity event in Los Angeles after the festival, then head to Savannah, Georgia and New York before returning to Jamaica for Caribbean Fashion Week.
