Veteran singer John “1000 Volts” Holt, known for big hits like “Love Got A Hold On Me,” Ali Baba,” Stealing,” “Love I Can Feel,” and “If I Were A Carpenter” will join forces with some of the hottest names in reggae including cultural singer Richie Spice, Chuck Fenda and Guyanese roots singer Natural Blacks at the 10 anniversary celebration for Fifth Element Records in New Yrork.
The two day celebration will also feature Ky-enie, Jessie Jendah, Spanner Banner, Tony Curtis, Kristopher and Boom Blast on Saturday, October 30 at the C-Pac in Brooklyn and will close out on Sunday, October 31 with another massive concert at Macedonia Hall in Mt. Vernon, New York.
“We have earned a reputation over the years for our commitment to the genre and for delivering first class entertainment packages in a safe, family-oriented environment” Devon Weathley, CEO of Fifth Element Record and event producer commented.
The anniversary event will be a reunion of sorts as it will feature Richie Spice and Chuck Fenda, two of the original acts who were initially signed to the Fifth Element Label when the label was first established. The label has since helped to launch the careers of popular acts like Anthony Cruz and songbird Etana.
“We are exited about putting together this milestone event together and thrilled that Richie, Fenda – two of the acts that were there when we launched the Fifth Element vision years ago – are able to join us our current artiste Natural Black for this historic occasion” Weathley said.
