Finally, Someone Tells Trump what he’s Full of

My mother taught me not to use “foul language,” but sometimes you just have to let those four-letter words fly. So I don’t blame Ralph Gilles for telling Donald Trump that he’s “full of  s**t.”

How else can you accurately describe The Donald?

Gilles is the head of product design for Chrysler, and he couldn’t take Trump’s BS any longer so he fired back on Twitter. Trump had repeated the Romney story that Chrysler was planning to move its Jeep factory to China.  Chrysler’s top brass had indignantly denied Romney’s story but that didn’t stop Trump from repeating it on Twitter and – of course – blaming President Obama for it.

After he cooled down, Gilles tweeted: “I apologize for my language, but lies are just that, lies.”

Indeed. It’s time somebody pointed that out to Trump. The man is a living lie.

Discussing Trump’s conflicting accounts about missing the Vietnam War, the Daily Kos observed:

It’s also weird that Trump has bragged about going to military school and being a star athlete, then magically becomes medically ineligible to be the most militaristic person around, as he likes to say.

But it’s not surprising, because Trump is a liar.

The story details Trump’s life of lies, pointing out that:

Trump lies about how his real estate sales are doing, and back-peddles into absurd tales that his condos were never really for sale.

Trump lies about actually owning real estate, when he is never even an equity-holder, just a name they licensed.

Now Trump lies about the draft, because he wants to be a big shot.

Forever skirting the cliff of bankruptcy, this monumental fraud hogs the limelight by posing as some kind of tycoon. And he will say or do anything to get a mention in the media.

He has shamelessly exploited the presidential election to get publicity, going so far as to pretend to be running for the highest political post in the land.

He even stooped to digging up the universally disproved nonsense about President Obama being born in Kenya.

Here’s what Factcheck.org had to say about Trump on that occasion:

  • The Donald claims the president’s grandmother says Obama was born in Kenya. In fact, the recording to which he refers shows Sarah Obama repeatedly saying through a translator: “He was born in America.”
  • The Donald claims that no hospital in Hawaii has a record of Obama’s birth. Hospital records are confidential under federal law, but Honolulu’s Kapi’olani Medical Center has published a letter from Obama calling it “the place of my birth,” thus publicly confirming it as his birthplace.
  • The Donald insists that the official “Certification of Live Birth” that Obama produced in 2008 is “not a birth certificate.” That’s wrong. The U.S. Department of State uses “birth certificate” as a generic term to include the official Hawaii document, which satisfies legal requirements for proving citizenship and obtaining a passport.
  • The Donald claims that there’s no signature or certification number on the document released by Obama. Wrong again. Photos of the document, which we posted in 2008, clearly show those details.
  • The Donald says newspaper announcements of Obama’s birth that appeared in Hawaii newspapers in 1961 “probably” were placed there fraudulently by his now-deceased American grandparents. Actually, a state health department official and a former managing editor of one of the newspapers said the information came straight from the state health department.
  • The Donald claims “nobody knew” Obama when he was growing up and “nobody ever comes forward” who knew him as a child. “If I ever decide to run, you may go back and interview people from my kindergarten,” Trump said. Well, two retired kindergarten teachers in a 2009 news story fondly recall teaching a young Barack Obama.

But that didn’t stop The Donald. When the fuss over his “birther” charge died down, he came up with an “October surprise,” offering to donate $5 million to charity if the president would produce his college transcripts and passport application.

The implication was that, as a minority student, Obama was given a pass into Harvard although his grades didn’t justify it. Makes you wonder how Obama got elected as editor of the Harvard Law Review, doesn’t it? But Trump never lets the facts spoil a good story.

What’s amazing to me is that the American media still falls for Trump’s tricks.

You would think that by now, when Trump starts hyping some new publicity stunt, they would realize that – as Mr. Gilles so aptly put it, the self-promoting windbag is full of it.
