Caribbean & International Filmmakers Making The Deadline for Flashpoint Film Festival, Negril – December 1 – Sunday, December 3, 2006 at The Caves, Negril

Kingston, Jamaica: – Caribbean & International filmmakers are already submitting films for consideration to be exhibited at the Flashpoint Film Festival which will run from Friday, December 1 – Sunday, December 3, 2006 at The Caves, Negril.

The deadline for this year’s film submission is November 10 and Flashpoint has already received entries from 12 countries. Below are some of the entries sent in for review:

Brazil: – Lower City – Drama, Feature Film
Canada / Jamaica: – Change From Within – Documentary
Canada / Haiti: – Heading South – Drama, Feature Film
Cuba: – East of Havana – Documentary
Germany/ Jamaica: – Almost Heaven – Drama, Feature Film
Haiti: – On the Verge of a Fever – Drama, Feature Film
Jamaica: – It’s all about Dancing: A Jamaican Dance-U-Mentary – Dance Documentary
South Africa: – The Wooden camera – Drama, Feature Film
United Kingdom: – Johnny Was – Thriller, Feature Film
USA / Jamaica: – Last Stop for Paul – Comedy / Adventure, Feature Film
Venezuela: – Secuestro Express – Action / Crime / Drama, Feature Film

The Flashpoint team will review all films submitted and make a decision by Friday, November 17. The films chosen will be shown at the 2006 staging of the annual Flashpoint Film Festival, Friday, December 1 – Sunday, December 3 at The Caves, Negril.
