What does a football and a microphone have in common? Well, according to BillBlunt everything! The field is a place where he can release his energy and he gives the same to the stage. He is a true performer on both settings.
Unlike many artists that have been singing since birth, BillBlunt is late in the game. Music has always been a part of is life, as it is to most people. From the church, to the radio blasting on Sundays while mom is cooking, to even your memories of your first boy/girl dance but he only decided to take it professionally when he was fed up with politicians and decided to write about it.
BillBlunt knew that he was the only one who could truly expressed his words and his anger about corruptions was himself. So he picked up the mic and never looked back. He fell in love with music…
When he expressed his desire to his friends, family and football mates, they didn’t take him seriously, but when he belted his tune, they were in awe of his bluntness, thus came his name BillBlunt! His road so far as not been an easy one, BillBlunt loves above all his family and strives to provide for all of them. His dream is to give his parents an early retirement and peace of mind.
He once said that his mother gave him that inner fight and drive, while his father taught him to be humble and patient. That’s why he has no problem with paying his dues by showcasing his talents on the smallest stage to the biggest venue. BillBlunt doesn’t ask but for 2 minutes of your time to hear his voice, to listen to his message and dare not to find a kindred spirit within him.
This summer has been a whirlwind for BillBlunt, almost all of his time is spent in the studio or on stage. His hit “Crisis” came at a time where everyone and anyone can relate, his music has been playing on radio stations from Jamaica to Canada. He is a feature new artist with Yard news Magazine, and as far as he is concern, he wants to keep putting quality music over quantity.
BillBlunt is genuinely a good guy who cares about loving and living life, eating chicken, rice and peas, a good game of football and hopes for a change in these times of crisis.
