MORE ABOUT THE AUTHOR…
In 1989 her husband of 14 years and the father of her 6 children fled from the enormous responsibilities of parenting, though his goal was to have 10 children. Challenging as it was, herself and her children slowly recovered from a severely
abusive relationship
. The experience drove her to write her 1st book ‘Crosses to Bear Love to Share,’ A
Dedication
to Single Mothers.
Not only was this book therapeutic for her but more importantly she was able to impact the lives of thousands of women who were ready to give up and dilute their parental obligation. Many hours were spent after book-signings to embrace and encourage single mothers and to remind them that no matter the challenges, quitting is never an option. From her limited resources, she made financial contributions to assist other single mothers and their children.
Before long, all her children left for college and she immersed herself in her career in the Financial Industry, where she climbed to the top of the corporate ladder, she was financially stable but deep down she was empty and needed to return to her passion and help others find their purpose in life. She exited Corporate America January 2008 and became an
Entrepreneur
. By this time she was past 50 and felt even more energetic than when she was 35, life took on a new meaning and she became excited about the future.
She set out to meet and interview individuals who were over 50, with one view in mind, ‘To re-kindle HOPE’. The idea finally came together and she started writing her second book, ‘Forever Young At 50+, a compilation of 100 compelling stories of Love, Survival and Success. The features range from ordinary everyday people to even billionaires. Most of the features share a
common thread
and that is the will to win and a determination to NEVER GIVE-UP. Being fully cognizant of the challenges first time writers face in an effort to get published, she formed her
own publishing company
, Six Hearts Publishing, which was not just meant to publish her books, but to expose the work of other writers.
Today Ms. Hart is affiliated with numerous organizations and women’s groups, but she has been consistent about her passion in helping to improve the lives of single mothers and their children, and in addition, she is committed to helping the 50+ population stay young, positive and vibrant, no matter the challenges. After all, age is just a number.
