The Workshop will address issues of applying for IRS 501c3 non-profit tax exemption status and offer many valued resources related to board development, grant funding, Florida Division of Corporations and other related items. Non-profit organization consultant, Jane Sullivan – MNPM, will present an interactive workshop where organizations will be guided through the subtle nuances of completing IRS form 1023. She will also address questions on the development of an effective not-for profit organization in the State of Florida.

Marlon Hill, Representative for the Jamaican Diaspora Southern United States, states that “The capacity and effectiveness of non-profit organizations in the Jamaican community are critical to the maturity and true potential of the Jamaican Diaspora. Our partnership with the Eye on Jamaica Project is a powerful example of the extraordinary work already being done with Jamaican communities across the region.”

Ronald Thomas, President and CEO, Eye on Jamaica Project adds, “We are focused and wholly committed to empowering those who desire to make Jamaica a better place. Our mission is to bring awareness and create response initiatives to the poverty and other socio-economic conditions affecting Jamaica.”
