What You Missed At Jampact’s 10th Anniversary Fundraiser

The ‘IMAGINE…’ JAMPACT’S 10th Anniversary Fundraiser held on Saturday June 20, 2009 at the CUE Art Foundation was a very successful venture for JAMPACT in several arenas. The event was well supported through various financial contributions of both individual and corporate entities, and patrons –despite the inclement weather. In addition, the evening’s proceedings received significant positive feedback, making JAMPACT’S 10th Anniversary event indeed a night to remember!

It was truly a celebratory moment for all present, including five past Presidents of JAMPACT and several other longstanding members. Also in attendance were the event’s Honorary Chair Hon. Geneive Brown Metzger, Congresswoman Yvette Clarke, Dr. Una Clarke, Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Hawthorne of Golden Krust Caribbean Bakery & Grill, and Dr. Megan McLaughlin, former CEO  of Federation of Protestant Welfare Services. Congresswoman Clarke presented a Congressional proclamation to JAMPACT for its work in the community and offered words of encouragement for members of the audience to be more involved. There was also an award presentation from Hon. Geneive Brown Metzger on behalf of the Jamaica Consulate.

One of the evening’s major highlights was a commemorative  video presentation produced by JAMPACT Communications Chair Kimberley Lue Lim. Feedback on the video revealed that the audience was significantly moved by its message and many saw it as a great source of motivation to increase their level of support.
