jamarchPage One has launched the Give 10 Mini Essay Contest to bring attention to Charities and Causes in Jamaica. Participants enter the contest to tell the tale of their favourite charity or cause in Jamaica, and Page One will make a donation of $10,000 to the charity or cause written about in the winning essay.
Entries of 250 – 350 word mini essays will be accepted until the 28th July, 2013 and the public will get to vote on their favourite essays until August 18, 2013. The organizers of the competition hope it will shine a light on various charities and causes in Jamaica, and bring people together in the spirit of doing good. The Give 10 Mini Essay Contest is the second competition organized this year by Page One. They recently held the Helping Hand Photo Contest which was won by Shanika Porter who is associated with the volunteer group Loving Arms Jamaica.
Page One supports, covers and promotes the activities of people and organizations doing things to enrich and lift up Jamaica.
