Glen Simmonds Makes An Amazing Recovery From Heart Attack

Spread the love

On the weekend of the 15th of February the Atlanta community was rocked with the shocking news that one of the pillars of the community had suffered a massive heart attack. Glen Simmonds, a broadcasting pioneer who for decades was known as the “Reggae Ambassador” on the weekly Natural Mystic show on WCLK and is a founder and  promoter of the Annual Grace Atlanta Caribbean Jerk Festival, was taken to the hospital in order to overcome the effects of the attack.

Prayers were sent up from persons in and outside of Georgia in support of Simmonds and his family. With his wife Cheriel by his side brilliant doctors induced a coma to give Simmonds a better chance in his fight. By Sunday morning the prayers were answered. Not only did Simmonds rise, he was alert and filled with resolve. Simmonds quickly interacted with persons to let them know that he was better. Simmonds even had one call where he reminded one of his longtime collaborators, superstar Errol Moore, that they have a lot of work to do.

The family thanks all who had sent prayers, positive thoughts and support during this ordeal. Glen Simmonds is back and will be stronger than ever as he continues to be a pillar in the Atlanta Community. Look out for Glen Simmonds at the upcoming 8th Atlanta Caribbean Jerk  Festival and other media projects.
