Global Toronto, who celebrates culture and diversity, complements the existing JAMBANA™ infrastructure. Presented by Air Jamaica and produced by Jones & Jones Productions Ltd. JAMBANA™ is the largest event over the long weekend outside of the annual parade.

“We are delighted that Global Toronto recognizes this phenomenal event as an opportunity to bring communities together in this great city. There is much to see, do, and experience at JAMBANA™, and we are confident that 2010 will be the best yet.” Denise Jones: CEO, Jones & Jones Productions Ltd.”

One of the largest ‘Fun For The Family’ events on Ontario’s summer calendar, JAMBANA™ drew over 40,000 patrons in 2009, almost doubling its attendance in previous years and this year promises to be grander.

A ‘Fun For The Family’ day of food, music, dance, comedy, and good times, JAMBANA™ is the perfect way to spend your holiday without breaking the bank. Admission is $5 in advance; $7 at the gate, with partial proceeds being donated to not-for-profit organizations including “Friends of the Poor” and “Helping Hands Jamaica”.

With six villages to explore, JAMBANA™ is a one of a kind summer event that keeps patrons coming back for more, year after year. The Children’s Village likens to a carnival with Kisko pops and rides; irresistible fun for kids. Caribbean, Latin and European flavours to tantalise your taste buds in the Food Village; and for those in the market for a vacation, the Travel and Trade Village provides a priceless opportunity to give you that head start on your next vacation. In the Domino Village winners of the Lick-A-Six Domino Tournament will be awarded with a trip for 2 to Jamaica.

Meanwhile, with health on everyone’s minds today, the Health Village at JAMBANA™ provides important information on everything from healthy eating to various types of cancer; Sickle Cell, Glaucoma, Heart Disease, High Blood Pressure and Stroke. Then, for those looking for that something extra, treat yourself to the exclusive, VIP Village. This popular all-inclusive area provides seating, a complimentary meal and a beverage for a nominal fee of $20.

Main stage performances by internationally acclaimed reggae bands and JUNO award winners accompany the rhythms of Jazz and Gospel throughout the day. Dance troupes and hilarious comedians provide the very best in entertainment. This year’s line-up includes: Byron Lee’s Dragonaires, Admiral Bailey, Blessed, Steele, Kim Davis, Ammoye, Kay Morris, Sabu Grant, Baby Boyz and many, many, more performers making the 2010 edition of the JAMBANA™ festival a phenomenal event.
