The CSC promotes a sustainable future for our children as part of our mission of ensuring that “all children of Broward County have the opportunity to realize their full potential, their hopes and their dreams”.
The event is also as a way to introduce the community to our eco-friendly building, and it will include free giveaways such as bicycle helmets, books, coloring books, seedlings and refreshments, as well as the opportunity to meet Earth Man and the folks from The Beat 103.5.
The Children’s Services Council of Broward is an independent taxing authority which was established by a public referendum that passed on September 5, 2000, and which through Public Act, Chapter 2000-461 of the laws of Florida, authorized the Council to levy up to 0.5 mills of property taxes. The role of the Council is to provide the leadership, advocacy and resources necessary to enhance children’s lives and empower them to become responsible, productive adults through collaborative planning and funding of a continuum of quality care.
