Even as the Golden Tongue Awards Poetry Challenges closes today, Monday, January 31st, and we prepare for Jamaica’s Black History’s Reggae Month Celebrations, Poetry in Motion commemorates another major milestone, with the Annual Staging dubbed The GeneratioNeXt – Virtual Edition.
SenYAcum Edutainment is presenting the annual renewal of the spectacular Poetry in Motion 2022 on Sunday, February 27th, 2022, 3 – 5 pm, featuring Errol Dunkley, Dr. Olive Senior (Jamaica’s Poet Laureate), Owen “Blakka Ellis”, Prof. Clinton Hutton, Stephen Wise and Founder, Yasus Afari. PiM 2022 is also showcases: Generation Next with Elsa Joel (India), Tanya Knockless, Karae B., Fabian Sommerville, Samoya Banton, Aliya Gordon and Prim Lewis.
Social Empowerment
Poetry in Motion 2022 celebrates Generation Next as a commitment to social-empowerment of Youth and aspiring Poets. In doing so, We present the entire spectrum of the cultural, creative, literary and performing Arts with Music, Dance, Comedy, Storytelling, Fashion and Poetry. Our 2022 Charity is Friends in Need, which is a Mandeville based organization that caters to the Poor and Needy of Central Jamaica and beyond. As a family-friendly and community-friendly festival, Poetry in Motion is relentlessly devoted to presenting Clean Intelligent Fun for the Entire Family and Community, as a tangible manifestation of our sense of social-responsibility.
