The exciting semi-final round of the JCDC 2014 Jamaica Gospel Song Competition will be held on Ash Wednesday, March 5 at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre , 36 Hope Road, Kingston 10 starting at 6: 00 p.m. This will be held under the theme “Moving Forward”.
The 32 gospel hopefuls selected from the four eliminations held across the island will perform their original entries for a panel of judges. Each competitor will vie for the opportunity to become one of the top ten finalists who will go on to be featured on a compilation album and get a chance to win over a million dollars in cash and prizes.
The semi-final will take the form of a concert with special guest artiste Miriam Hibbert and Ancient Priest the 2nd & 3rd place winner from the 2012 competition along with the 2nd and 3rd place winners of the 2013 competition, Vennica Nicholson and Leroy “Minister Songbird” Richards .
Admission is Free and persons are encouraged to take along a donation for a child such as toys, clothes, books, toiletries or any non-perishable food items. The items collected will be donated to children’s homes as part of the Competition’s Outreach programme.
