What: The 2009 Reebok Grand Prix is the fourth stop of USA Track & Field’s Visa Championship Series, showcasing the world’s top male and female track-and-field stars. This event will be the final time these athletes will compete on the East Coast before this summer’s World Championships in Berlin. When/Where: Saturday, May 30 at 3:00pm at Icahn Stadium on Randall’s Island
Increased and upgraded backstretch seating at track level is being added to accommodate the growing demand and interest from fans in the New York area.
Who: Men’s and women’s athlete field includes:
- Tyson Gay, American record holder in the 100-meters, three-time world champion in 2007 in the 100-meters, 200-meters and 4×100-meter relay
- Asafa Powell, held 100-meter world record from June 2005 to May 2008, won a gold medal and broke the world record in the 4x100m relay as the anchor of the Jamaican team in Beijing
- Veronica Campbell-Brown, reigning 100-meter world champion and five-time Olympic medalist
- Lauryn Williams, 2004 Olympic 100-meter silver medalist and 2005 World Championships 100-meter gold medalist
- Tirunesh Dibaba, double Olympic gold medalist at 5,000 and 10,000 meters and nine-time world champion
- Kim Smith, a four-time NCAA Champion and New Zealand national record holder at 5,000 and 10,000 meters
- Carolina Kluft, Olympic heptathlon champion in 2004 and reigning three-time world and double European heptathlon champion
- Jenn Stuczynski, 2008 Olympic pole vault silver medalist, American record holder and number one ranked American pole vaulter since 2006

Men’s Events: 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 5000m, 400H, 110H, 4x100m, Javelin
Women’s Events: 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 5000m, 400H, Pole Vault, Long Jump, Discus Throw, Shot Put, 4x100m
High School Events: Boys 100m, 800m, 4x100m, 4x400m and 4×800; Girls 800m, 4x100m and 4x400m
NOTE: There will also be a boys and girls “Fastest Kid in NY” race among 7 & 8 year olds
