The newly established New York Jamaica Health Support Team (NYJHST) staged its first Fall Fundraiser Dinner dance at the Rochdale Village Community Center, Queens on Saturday, November 22, 2008.
Scores of community, business and corporate concerns came together for a successful outing. In a joint statement, co-founders Linda Brown and Howard Duval offered their thanks to those who supported the event.
“It is with a feeling of pride and joy that we can all look back on our first fund raising venture which was quite successful. The proceeds will be used to ship the equipment and supplies we have acquired so far. We use this medium to again thank each and everyone who contributed in any way to the success of the event. We look forward to continuing our work together to assist Jamaica, land we love.”
