The summer of 2012 will be recorded in Jamaican history books as a significant moment in time for a number of reasons. The main reason being on August 6, 2012, Jamaica will celebrate its 50th year of independence from British Colonial Rule.

Another reason is all eyes will be on London for the 30th anniversary of the Olympic Games, where Jamaica’s best athletes will defend their crowns as the reigning kings and queens of sprint.

The culmination of these historic events, as well as ups and downs within his personal life, have inspired reggae artist Donny Yardas to write a song that he feels will not only motivate the athletes who will be competing in the Olympics, but also, motivate everyday people navigating thru the journey of life.

The song is entitled “Heart of A Champion,” and was produced by MadMax of Snypaa Entertainment/A-TEAM Music Group.
