Jamaica Brings Reggae, Jerk And Jammin’ Deals To Houstonians At The Houston International Festival, April 18-19 & 24-25, 2009, Houston

The Jamaica Tourist Board is excited to announce its participation in the 38th annual Houston International Festival (iFest) April 18-19 & 24-25 in Lower Sam Houston Park in downtown Houston. Jamaica’s very own reggae sensation Rootz Underground will be performing on Saturday, April 25 at 6:00 p.m.  Rootz Underground will be available after the show for an exclusive autograph signing session at the Jamaica Tourist Board booth.

Guests will also have the chance to take a “piece of Jamaica” home with them via photos taken in front of a Jamaica backdrop. One lucky Houstonian will take home a real slice of paradise with a 3-night/4-day complimentary stay for two in Jamaica, courtesy of Sunset Jamaica Grande Resort & Spa in Ocho Rios. Festival goers can enter to win at the Jamaica Tourist Board booth by filling out a form. The grand prize winner will be drawn by Rootz Underground after their performance on the evening of April 25.

Jamaica has been an iFest sponsor for the past three years and was the title sponsor in 2006.  Through the Festival, Jamaica is able to educate Houstonians on the island-nation’s unique culture, cuisine, activities, beautiful beaches, and variety of exciting travel deals and airlift options. Adult tickets are $15; children twelve and under are admitted free, courtesy of the Target Kids Free program.
