Yesterday I met a Jamaican who operates a Caribbean art in Gallery in Germany in person. We had communicated via email and I interviewed her for Jamaicans.com 2 years ago. I knew what she looked like but she never saw any of my pictures online. Well during our conversation she said “I pictured you as someone with dreadlocks”.

Throughout my life I have never given the idea any real thought as growing up dreadlocks was reserved for Rastafarian’s. Now everyone wears them.
