jamarchIt is with great excitement that we announce the launch of the Christian Internet Radio Association (CIRA). The purpose of CIRA is to establish unity among Christian artists, Internet radio stations and broadcasters alike; It also oversees the music and video submission process of Awards shows seeking credibility of artists.
In addition, it provides a forum where musical artists, critics, radio personalities, broadcasters, entrepreneurs and music lovers share knowledge for the benefit and promotion of Christian and Gospel music.
The core benefit that CIRA. will provide, is a charting system for independent artists as there’s currently no legitimate national Internet radio station charting system for unsigned and independent artists. Furthermore, CIRA will act as a clearing house for artists wishing to submit their music to partnering stations for airplay consideration and nomination of partnering award shows.
Though the website is free for all to visit, two areas require a quarterly or annual subscription – namely, the “Charts” and “CIRA University” areas. Awards show owners and Internet radio broadcasters that want to partner with us can contact us via email for additional information, the requirements are simple and straight-forward.
Our hope is that Internet radio stations and Independent Christian artists will embrace this service and utilize it to strengthen their presence in this ever-changing music industry. The site will be fully functional by January 1, 2012.
