The Institute of Caribbean Studies will hold its 7h Annual Caribbean American Leadership Dialogue: to be held on Friday, November 18, 2005, at the J.W. Marriott, Washington DC from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The theme of this year’s dialogue is “Growth with Equity: Exploring New Market Opportunities in the Caribbean”. This dialogue brings together a select group of U.S. and Caribbean business persons, policy makers, and financiers to exchange up-to-date information and discuss opportunities for delivering growth with job creation. This is both an educational event and an important venue for developing business prospects.
Space is limited. Cost of Registration is US$50.00. Register by Friday, November 11, 2005. A Late Registration fee will apply after Tuesday, November 15, 2005.
Please note that the 12th Annual Caribbean American Heritage Awards will also take place that Friday evening at the J.W. Marriott. The honorees for this years Gala which is co-chaired by Congresswoman Donna Christensen and Hon. Michael Misick, Chief Minister, Turks and Caicos, include : Sir Vivian Richards, Cricket Legend; Sir John Goddard, Corporate Icon &Philanthropist; Emmanuel Cherubin, CEO WAVS Radio FM Miami; and Dr. Thelma Thompson, President, University of Maryland at Eastern Shore. Maureen Bunyan, News Anchor WJLA TV7 and John Blake, Host Caribbean Experience, WHUR 96.3 FM will serve as Co-Hosts of the event.
