Irie Ties To Stream The Trinidad And Tobago Grand Gala

South Florida’s premiere portal for providing live online streaming of Caribbean events will present a global viewing of Trinidad & Tobago’s 50th anniversary celebrations on Aug. 18.

The internet website founded by Leroy “Dreamy” Riley will provide live broadcasts from Davie’s Signature Grand Ballroom beginning at 7 p.m.

Riley said the golden, black-tie fete will steam fromIrieTimes.com via Ustream to friends and nationals throughout the world.

The red, white and black gala will celebrate the jubilee achievement but will also laud last week’s twin island Olympians who struck gold and three silver medals in London.

Keshorn Walcott took gold to T&T winning the javelin event throwing to 277.51 feet to win the track and field event.

Jehue Gordon hurdled his way to third in the 400 metres to take home a bronze medal.

While the 4X400 relay team of Deon Lenore, Jarrin Solomon, Ade Alleyne-forte, and Lalonde Gordon scored bronze.

Athletes representing the republic also hauled home bronze medals after placing third in the 4×100 relay. The team of Richard Thompson, Keston Bledman, Marc Burns and Emmanuelle Callender claimed the honor and a place on the winning stand.

Saturday’s gala promises to unite Caribbean nationals, especially those affectionately known as Trinis.
