“It A Bun Dem” Is A BIG HIT For Glenny G!!!

Glen Nembhard was born and raised by his God fearing grandmother Ms. Edna Coley in beautiful Manchester, Jamaica. Glen knew that he was destined to do great things in life. After immigrating to Canada at the age of 14, he became involved with various churches in the Toronto area. Glen currently lives with his wife in Brampton and has 3 beautiful children from a previous marriage living in Atlanta.

As a youth he learned to play the guitar; this sparked an interest in singing, songwriting, and performing. Glen loves to tell the story of how he transitioned from playing an instrument to getting behind the microphone. Many of his friends joked that he should just stick to the guitar. Despite the friendly jarring, Glen sought the help of several vocal coaches around the GTA to hone his craft. He credits inspiration from above for his songwriting ability. With strong conviction, Glen would say that his songs come to him in his dreams. However, for the most part, his writing talent is a natural ability entrusted to him by God. To date, Glen has written over 300 songs and counting!

Glen Nembhard, (aka ‘Glenny-G’, to many performing artists in Toronto) first launched onto the music scene in 1993. He entered the Jamaican song writing/DUB Poet and DJ’s Competition. He has had many successful years in this annual competition. In 1995 he was the runner-up amongst 25 contestants. In 1996 he composed a popular theme song for the competition, entitled ‘Better Than This’. In 1996, he released his first album called ‘Standing On My Own’, which was a tremendous success. His success resulted in the Canadian Reggae Music Organization naming him the “Best New Male Vocalist” for 1996-1997. In December 2002, ‘Glenny-G’ was the winner of the Mega-Flyte gospel songwriter’s competition, for his original song entitled ‘Change’. In 2003, Glenny-G was one of 12 finalists for the Maja Award.

In 2012, Glenny-G has been diligently working on his latest CD entitled ‘Don’t Take My Love For Granted’, at Kornerstone Studios with lead producer Orville Malcome – aka “Wyz”. Glen also collaborated with Nissan Cameron to assist him with this project. Glen believes that his songs must deliver strong messages of moral purity, peace, love and life experience.

Glen’s sophomore release is bound to captivate your heart, and instill a powerful uplifting message of possibility & gratefulness.

Glen continues to trust in God for guidance and inspiration. He believes that he is a more accomplished writer today, thanks to his relationship with the Lord.
