The Jamaican American Association of Central Florida, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit philanthropic organization that has been serving the greater Orlando community and Jamaica for over 28 years. We believe in the unity, wholesomeness, and strength of the entire community of families both locally and internationally. As our motto states: “Out of Many, One People.”
In celebration of Jamaica’s 52nd Anniversary of Independence, we cordially invite you to our Annual Independence and Fundraising Ball, on Saturday August 16th, 7pm to 2am.
Our Independence Ball will be a full service sit-down dining experience at the elegant Rosen Plaza Hotel, 9700 International Drive in Orlando. Our featured speaker will be Jamaican Consul General Miami, Hon. Franz Hall. Music for dining and dancing will be provided by Tony Blair’s 506 Crew Band, with special selections rendered by guest artist, Sonny Wong. Internationally renowned photographer David Muir, author of ‘Pieces of Jamaica’, will also be featured, along with cultural poet Marsha ‘Icymint’ Wilson. Joan Myers, former lead singer of the ‘Grace Thrillers’ will be rendering both the American and Jamaican National Anthems. Of course, the real highlight of the Ball will be the granting of three scholarships to highly qualified college bound students
We are anticipating over 300 guests at this banner event, and a distribution of over 500 journals throughout key consumer outlets in the Central Florida region. Again I invite you to join us and be a part of this exciting celebration, while supporting the Association’s philanthropic efforts.
Grace, Peace & Blessings Always,
