The Jamaican Diaspora Southern United States announces that its scheduled Mini-Conference of Working Groups on Saturday, March 31, 2007 will be postponed until Saturday, May 5, 2007, 10am-2pm at the Inverrary Hotel, 3501 Inverrary Blvd in Lauderhill.
“In emotional support of the Ragbeer-McIntosh family who lost their daugther, Tatiana McIntosh, in a recent single car accident returning to college at the University of Florida, we decided to postpone the mini-conference to direct our energies and physical presence to scheduled funeral proceedings for Tatiana. As a community, we need each other in both good times and sorrowful times. This is one of those moments,” stated Marlon Hill, Jamaican Diaspora Advisory Board Member, Southern United States. Tatiana’s funeral will be held The Pentecostals of Cooper City, 5201 S. Flamingo Road (www.the-pentecostals.org) (South of Griffin Road on the westside), Saturday, March 31st, 11am.
Tanya Ragbeer, mother of Tatiana, recently served as president of the Greater Caribbean-American Chamber of Commerce and in other community leadership initiatives. Tatiana was an active member of Major Players Mas Band and a past runner-up in Miss Broward Carnival.
