MISTA SILVA RECORDS NEW SINGLE—03/14/15
Mista Silva, who was awarded the Urban Music Award for best African Act, is ready to begin 2015 with a new Jamaican dancehall-inspired recording. The single includes influences of traditional Ghanaian music. Silva represents progressive elements in Africa and the African Diaspora.

GULLY BOP TO PERFORM FIRST SHOW OVERSEAS—03/15/15
Gully Bop’s last major performance was in Jamaica, but ne is now ready to perform at Club Diamond in Luton, United Kingdom. Bop will perform at King’s Cross in London and also plans to stay in the UK for the rest of March 2015. Bop plans to performance at concerts throughout the Caribbean region before going to Europe, the U.S. and Canada in the future.

JIMMY CLIFF REPRISES “HARDER THEY COME” ROLE—03/16/15
Legendary reggae performer Jimmy Cliff is set to reprise the role he played in the firm “The Harder They Come” in the upcoming sequel to the classic. The firm became very popular, due in part to its reggae soundtrack that introduced the Jamaican genre to the rest of the world. The film tells the story of a real Jamaican criminal, played by Cliff.

CHRONIXX ENDS JAMAICAN TOUR IN PORTLAND—03/19/15
Chronics, popular roots-reggae singer and the band Zinc Fence Redemption ended his Capture Land Tour with a three-hour performance before a packed concert venue at Oyster Bay in Portland. The performance was the last in a series of Jamaican concerts that included Hanover, St. Elizabeth and Kingston. It was his first performance in Portland. Also featured at the concert was Kelissa.
