Jamaica Family Fest focuses on crime reduction and abuse with Heroes’ day event

The successful eighth year running event, Jamaica Family Fest, is focused on helping to reduce Crime, Domestic Abuse, Teen Pregnancies and Drug Abuse with the staging of the all-day family event on Heroes Monday October 15.

The event, which is totally free to enter, is staged by the team at Gospel Linkup and will have an array of rides and activities to keep patrons entertained while delivering strong messages from uplifting speakers and positive thoughts through musical performances.

We want to make a difference through this event. Every year we look at various communities and how we can help them and this year crime and abuse are our major focus. We hope to educate and inspire through the messages from influential artistes and speakers,” Andrew McKenley Director of Gospel Linkup announced

Jamaica Family Fest already has a track record of providing substance and is known to passionately promote peace, love and Godliness. The Gospel Linkup team have also enhanced this year’s offerings.

We cater to the kids, teens and adults. This year we have added more attractions for the family, more rides for the kids, more giveaways including passes for a family of four to Mystic Mountain, and more food eating contests,” McKinley added

Jamaica Family Fest will be held this Heroes Monday at Cling Cling Oval in Olympic Gardens from 10 am to 10pm. Partners for the event include; First Union Financial, Sunshine Cereals, Colombina and Optical Solutions; with media partners; Megajamz 98fm, Hype TV, Bess 100 FM and Bloozick Media.
