JAMAICA CLIPPER ARRIVES IN NEW YORK CITY – After leaving Jamaica’s Errol Flynn Marina on May 24, the ‘JAMAICA Get All Right’ clipper arrived in New York City on Monday, May 30, completing the 13th race of the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race. Chairman of the Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB), Dennis Morrison, along with Business Development Manager, Chris Dobson, welcomed the crew at North Cove Marina during the annual Caribbean Week in NYC. To celebrate the crew’s success, the JTB held a sail around Manhattan for Jamaica Travel Specialists, who enjoyed jerk chicken and rice and peas prepared by Jamaican restaurant, Miss Lily’s.
The Jamaica Tourist Board is the sponsor of Jamaica Get All Right’s participation in the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race. This 40,000-mile, 11-month ocean race around the globe showcases destination Jamaica as it visits 15 ports on six continents. The eighth leg of the race departed on June 7 from New York to Derry-Londonderry, Northern Ireland.
