Over 100 travel professionals set sail recently aboard the Spirit of Baltimore Cruise as part of the Jamaica Tourist Board’s (JTB) Join Me In Jamaica Travel Agent Tradeshow and Winter 2019 Product Launch. The series was one of 18 events taking place across the Northeast to promote Jamaica and provide updates on what’s new in the destination. Jamaica’s Director of Tourism Donovan White, thanked the travel agents for their unwavering support over the years.
The Join Me in Jamaica campaign connects travelers to Jamaica through various programs, including a digital video series, a summer sweepstakes offering a trip to the destination and events similar to the dinner cruise aboard the Spirit of Baltimore.
Jamaica continues to experience strong growth in stopovers, with arrivals. The US market saw a 7.5 percent growth, with the key Northeast region experiencing a six percent growth.
The Jamaica Tourist Board is hosting other trade shows throughout November in Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, North Carolina and Arkansas.
