Jamaica has been recognized with six awards in the prestigious gold and silver categories at the 2021 Travvy Awards, further establishing its place as one of the world’s leading tourism destinations. The Jamaica Tourist Board accepted these awards at the 7th annual Travvy gala that was held on November 11 at the Miami Beach Convention Center.

The destination was honored with four gold statuettes for:
- ‘Best Destination – Caribbean’
- ‘Best Culinary Destination – Caribbean’
- ‘Best Tourism Board – Caribbean’
- ‘Best Travel Agent Academy Program’
Along with two silver statuettes for:
- ‘Best Wedding Destination – Caribbean’
- ‘Best Honeymoon Destination’

The 7th annual Travvy Awards, presented by Travel Pulse, now part of the NorthStar Travel Group, recognized
the to suppliers, destinations, technology providers and attractions, as selected by travel agents across the industry. Nearly 100,000 votes were cast across multiple categories by travel agent readers of Travel Pulse. The selections made by participating advisors reflect the destinations they believe provide outstanding service to travelers.
Jamaica remains open for travel and continues to welcome visitors safely. It’s health and safety protocols were
among the first to receive the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) Safe Travels recognition that allowed the destination to safely reopen to travel in June 2020. Since then, the island has successfully welcomed over one million visitors to its shores.
