On September 7th, reggae artist Conkarah released his new song and video “Up Jump di Riddim” on the pioneering pop-alternative label, Cherrytree Records (Feist, Sting, Lady Gaga, Robyn, Disclosure, Ellie Goulding, Far East Movement). Conkarah has teamed up with the independent label to release “Up Jump di Riddim,” an upbeat pop-reggae fusion track produced by the GRAMMY-award winning Dave Audé (Bruno Mars, Selena Gomez).
The video, shot in the heart of Los Angeles, was directed by 8A, aka Salvador Ochoa, who recently captured the iconic album cover photo for Sting and Shaggy’s chart-topping reggae collaboration “44/876.”

Born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica, Conkarah, né Nicholas Murray, grew up in a culturally diverse home with a British mother and Jamaican father. His multi-cultural upbringing inspired Conkarah’s desire to explore the world.
While building a loyal, global fan base by regularly touring the Caribbean, Europe, the US and Asia, Conkarah began his recording career in the long-steeped tradition of creating reggae arrangements of popular songs on the charts.
