Janisa’s “Jamaican Boy” – A Contgious, Romantic ODE

Push-A-Pen Entertainment announces it has officially released multi-talented reggae artist Janisa’s new single “Jamaican Boy.” The hot track is produced by renowned producer Paul “Jazzwad” Yebuah, a distinguished producer in the reggae industry who is responsible for “Bounty Killer’s break out classic “Copper Shot” and Damian Marley’s Grammy nominated “Beautiful.”

Revamped with a trendy, chic hairstyle, the former NYC Reggae Rising Star contestant Janisa re-emerges with her distinct musical approach, stunning, unique image in tow. Motivated by thousands of eager fans who have been awaiting new music since her impressive debut with tracks like “Big Up” and “All We Do” last summer, Janisa’s latest effort, “Jamaican Boy” is sure to be a ubiquitous record as it impacts all major reggae/dancehall radio markets. Janisa gushes about her new single and the excitement surrounding the release of the contagious, romantic ode to Jamaican males.

“I’m very excited. Seriously, I love this song. It’s a fun, uptempo, fall or summer song. It’s a tribute to Jamaican men- who have been influential in my life. I think everyone can enjoy it and I hope everyone will” the beautiful Panamanian says coyly.

Dubbed by industry insiders as an artist to watch in 2009 and beyond, Janisa started the year strong with coveted features in a few Jamaican news publications, only to be crowned “Artist of the Month” in March by Big Eye News Magazine. Last summer saw the up and coming artiste hand picked by Special World Radio Host DJ PJ Butta who featured her buzzing single “Big Up” in a Heineken sponsored summer special of the World Chart Show, consequently launching the ambitious singer’s career to reggae fans throughout the West Indies.

Enjoying a surge in popularity, Janisa keeps performance, interview and  guest appearance request pouring in, especially since her attendance at the 28th Annual IRAWMA Awards in May, where she made a splash on the Red Carpet donned in a rare, white, crystal laced Jovani Gown that made dancehall celebrity on-lookers take notice and sent media camera crews into a frenzy. The fashion-savvy songstress’ most recent performances include a thrilling mini- set with a professional house band at the International Music Festivall in Boston, where the skillful singer-songwriter hails, in addition to an attention grabbing serenade at WVIP Radio host Ken Williams’ Reggae Rising Star Competition.

Striking a cord with her melodious harmonies and intense dark brown eyes, for Janisa this is a match made in heaven as her unique voice meets squarely with acclaimed beat maker Jazzwad’s Caribbean-clad baseline in the sweet sounding “Summer Vibes Riddim”. This novice- veteran musical paring equals a great recipe for success!

“Jamaican Boy” is the scorching main entree for hungry reggae fans who want to hear something new. Janisa is currently prepping for the premiere of the music video for her radio-friendly single “Jamaican Boy” to be launched at cable networks such as BET Jazz Network, CIN TV and cable channels in the Caribbean which will give fans an up close and personal experience with the budding reggae star. Janisa is also in studio working on another track titled “Look at Me” on the Substance Riddim that will hit stores later this year.
