Ziadie was born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica. A former Excelsior Alumni, he migrated to South Miami in 1979. He is married to Cuban-born Josefina for over 28 years. Together they have one daughter named Kayla.
Since making Pembroke Pines his home in 2002, Chris has played a pivotal role in the local business community. With more than 35 years of business leadership management, he has worked for several Fortune 500 companies, solving complicated economic issues while promoting community engagement.
Chris’s commitment to community service extends beyond the business world. He has been an active member of the City of Pembroke Pines Economic Development Board for more than seven years. He was appointed to this board by, and with the full support of, Vice Mayor Iris Siple. His expertise and dedication in this role has been recognized by the members he serves with. Mayor Frank Ortis has also appointed Chris to the prestigious Charter Review Board. This board plays a crucial role in shaping policies that enhance the lives of residents and foster progress in the city.
For more than two decades, Chris has also served as an integral member of the Pines Baptist Church personnel and budget review board. Through his steadfast dedication, he has contributed to the efficient management of church affairs and resources, positively impacting the lives of fellow parishioners. Chris’s extensive experience and dedication to good governance extends to his role on the Audit Review board for the Broward County Housing Authority. He was appointed to that board by the Chairman of the Broward Housing Authority. His keen eye for detail and commitment to transparency ensures that public resources are utilized effectively to meet the needs of the community.
As a lifetime member of the Boys and Girls Club of Broward County, Chris has uplifted the lives of countless young people. He has emerged as one of the leaders of the highly successful “Fill the Van Backpack Drive,” providing essential resources and support to underprivileged youth in the region. Beyond his involvement with the Boys & Girls Club, Chris’s passion for education is evident in his work with Pembroke Pines city leaders and administrators in his help in raising funds to support all schools in Pembroke Pines. His efforts have contributed to fostering a strong educational foundation for the youth of his community. Recognizing the importance of educators and their pivotal role in shaping young minds, Chris has hosted numerous teacher appreciation breakfast events for teachers and administrators. His gestures of gratitude reflect his unwavering support for those who dedicate their lives to nurturing future generations.
In times of crisis, Chris’s compassion shines through. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he collaborated with his church to distribute much-needed food to Pembroke Pines residents. When the event outgrew its logistics, the city of Pembroke Pines took over. This is a testament to Chris’s commitment to helping those in need, even during challenging times.
Chris sees the terrible traffic conditions, your safety, and protecting our schools as motivations to run for office. He has also spoken out on the traffic conditions that plague Pines Blvd on a daily basis. According to Chris, “Your safety in Pembroke Pines is my top priority.” He adds, “Protecting you by ensuring that we have enough first responders in place and having the proper funding is what I will work on every day.” Chris will continue to be a strong, unwavering voice for all residents of Pembroke Pines.
