In commemoration of Jamaica’s 42nd Anniversary as an independent nation, the Consulate General of Jamaica will hold its National Independence Church service on Sunday, August 1, 2004 at 4:00 p.m. sharp at the First United Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic in Brooklyn.
The Most Honorable Sir Howard Cooke, Governor General of Jamaica, will deliver the special address. All are invited to attend this very special service as Jamaicans gather in celebration of their distinguished heritage.
