As the curtains came down on the Central Florida Christian Film Festival on Sunday, February 23, 2014, Jamaican Gospel Movie, Just Another Friday, found itself at the forefront of the awards having copped the Most Inspirational Film Award as voted by the audience.
Just Another Friday was produced by BarriVision Productions in association with Jamaica Youth for Christ and stars the JYFC Acts 12 Drama Ministry and Gospel Recording artistes Deneese Wright with supporting cast and music from members of the Gospel music fraternity.
“The most amazing thing about this weekend,” said Rev. Dexter Johnson, National Director of Jamaica Youth for Christ, “is that the audience was largely comprised of Caucasian senior citizens and it was this audience that voted our film Most Inspirational. That is a huge achievement for us because it means that our film not only appeals and brings a poignant message to our own people but has international appeal to all ages and races.”
Just Another Friday, which also won the “Best Jamaican Feature Film” award at the International Reggae Film Festival 2013, is available on DVD at www.justanotherfridaymovie.com, online screening at www.jamaicanmovies.com and in Jamaica on Demand on FLOW.
